Our Facilities

We offer our facilities to groups who would like to hold holistic, meditational, health related, personal development, or spiritual gatherings or retreats. We also host couples or individuals coming to stay at our rooms for a personal retreat or just for a “Spiritual Vacation.”
Ananda Dhiira is a place of the deer, the wild turkeys, and the birds and flowers. The creek flows through Ananda Dhiira year round. At night, you can meditate under the full panoply of the Milky Way.

Ananda Dhiira is one-half mile away from The South Yuba River State Park and the South Yuba River. During the spring, take the celebrated Spring Wild Flowers hike in the park or one of the other many hikes provided in the mountains overlooking the river. If it is warm outside, enjoy swimming in the river. This stretch of the river boasts sloping sandy beaches, deep canyons through which the main current runs, punctuated by river rocks for resting or sunning, and gentle rapids for river walking among the boulders.
If you enjoy history, quaint Nevada City is a thirty-minute ride from Ananda Dhiira. Both Grass Valley and Nevada City offer restaurants and shops.
Accommodation
Upstairs in our meditation hall are two bedrooms, both of which have two twin beds. One bedroom, however, has, in addition, two trundle twin beds plus a full-size futon, thus providing sleeping for six. Both bedrooms are spacious and filled with light, with plenty of room on the carpeted floor for extra sleeping bags if your group needs the space.
Downstairs is a sunny, full kitchen, one bathroom and a washer/dryer for guests who stay for longer periods of time. The entire apartment is decorated in soothing colors to enhance your relaxation during your stay.
Sentient Yoga Diet:
We ask that all guests follow a sentient yoga diet when using the kitchen, appliances, and cookware at Ananda Dhiira. A sentient diet includes fruit, vegetables, grains, beans and dairy and excludes meat, eggs, onions, garlic and mushrooms. This type of diet can help to keep the mind in a balanced, restful state and supports Meditation and Yoga practice.
